Kumpeni 2024 - Münstersch Alt with blood and bitter orangesCountry: Germany Region: Mnsterland Alcohol by volume: 6% Bottle size: 0,75 l Inspired by the community brew at the Grutkulturfestival 2020 in Mnster, we brewed a new batch of Kumpeni. This time, we only used hops and wormwood to spice the beer. During fermentation, we added the juice and peel of blood and bitter oranges. The beer matured for two and a half years in red wine barrels. It has subtle notes of wormwood and orange oil.

with 20% whole bunches added from fermentation for six months

we brewed a new batch of Kumpeni

The grapes come from 2 vineyards that couldn’t be more different: the volcanic Hegyestű on the edge of the Kali-Basin and the limestone-heavy Király-domb vineyard in Pécsely
