位於油麻地的循道衛理聯合教會安素堂在六十年代建成，建築師使用 了當時常見的物料和技法，包括外露樑柱和淸水牆，其最大建築特色 是由無數十字架組成的外牆，既能明確顯示建築物的教會身份，實際 上也有遮掩陽光的功用。活用建築技巧構成的無柱室內空間，充份將 藝術和實用融為一體。

設計師在創作中以不同顏色拼湊出一朵朵鬱金香，以帶出鬱金香有多個品種及顔色，而所代表的花語及傳說亦有所不同，惟每一朵都是相當高貴優雅。
