I have looked at design on the cover and thought to myself that it looked like piece of jewelry that might have come out of the Danish Modern or Arts & Craft movements

like something that Jacques-Yves Cousteau might have recovered from the floor of the Mediterranean

The cutout pattern makes the earrings light and comfortable on the ears

I decided that I'd combine the two cultures of her names into one piece of jewelry

Once that was sawed out of sterling sheet

one is literally illuminating the scripture and releasing the energy in the verse

so there's that nice self-reflexivity going on

and which sundered the block on the first day of carving before I had barely blunted its corners
